Wild caught, wild oceans, wild taste:

The flavour and texture of the Venus Bay Prawn is unlike any other on the market. The crisp, sweet, buttery flesh makes it a versatile staple in dishes in world class restaurants and family kitchens alike. Our crew work through the night to bring our catches onboard, where they are hand graded, boxed in our 3kg and 5kg boxes, then snap frozen at -50°C. Due to the immediate nature of the freezing process, the prawns are able to retain their flavour and freshness – ensuring premium quality.

The wild and unpredictable waters of the Great Australian Bight reach depths of over 50 metres, meaning that our fishery boasts exclusive membership in the deepest oceanic grounds in the state. The icy, seemingly bottomless ocean that they call home just so happens to be one of the most pristine habitats in the world - isolated, untouched, and free from pollution and development, the prawns are able to thrive without the danger of human intervention.

Our fishing grounds consist of kilometres of flat, bare sand. This not only provides a perfect home for the prawns, but also means that very little damage is done to the sea scape and limits the by-catch to small, manageable numbers that are able to be quickly returned to the water. The prawns live and grow in Mother Nature’s cold, clean, and salty depths, which we believe gives them the incredible flavour that makes them so unique.
